Gastronomic Innovation at Legend Hotel

Food connoisseurs will agree to the adage that Japanese cuisine is an art to be explored, savoured and appreciated. With this in mind, the innovative chefs at Gen Japanese Restaurant have taken gourmet appreciation to a new level with the introduction of several new signature creations. Their offerings will pleasantly surprise and delight lovers of nouveau Japanese cuisine.

Start off with appetizers such as Colourful Sashimi with Cool Sparkling Wine, Bloody Wasabi Oyster Shooter or Slices of Sweet Marinated Salmon Sashimi with Beet Sorbet. Next, proceed to some heart-warming soups such as Cream of Green Soya Beans and Asparagus with Mizuna Pesto or the innovative Cream of Burdock Root.

Main dish offerings consist of Deep Fried Breaded Miso Lamb with Mitsuba Mashed Potatoes and Grilled Marinated Sablefish with Fine Wheat Noodles. For something different, try the Tempura Style Simmered Red Beef with Miso which has an interesting combination of texture and flavour. Meanwhile seafood lovers will appreciate the Grilled King Crab Legs with Spicy Chilli Mayonnaise.

End your meal on a sweet note with two new dessert creations – Deep Fried Mango Spring Roll with Red Bean Paste and Chocolate served with Chocolate Ice Cream, or the refreshing Japanese Nashi Pear Strudel with Ginger Ice Cream, which is truly a fusion dessert.

The new signature creations are available as a la carte for lunch and dinner, from RM10.50++ per selection. Also available are two set menus, priced at RM120.00++ and RM160.00++, which contains a selection of the abovementioned dishes.

The contemporary Gen Japanese Restaurant serves authentic cuisine from the Land of the Rising Sun. With a seating capacity of 150 guests, it is located at Level 10 of the Hotel and boasts of 5 private tatami rooms overlooking a landscaped garden.
